주인장의 깔끔한 응대와 전통구조 그대로 관리가 잘 된 숙소는 마치 고전 드라마에 들어와 있는 느낌을 준다. 아침 식사는 간단한 스프와 토스트, 주스정도이고 마당 감나무에서 열린 감을 후식으로 먹을 수도 있었다. 방은 작지만 아담한 느낌으로 2인 혹은 3인이 잠자기 편안했고 화장실은 실내에 있고 깨끗해서 사용에 불편함이 없다. 타올은 화장실 앞에 배치하여 항상 사용이 가능하고 주방에서 간단한 음식을 만들어 먹을 수도 있다. 외국인 친구와 같이 갔는데 좋은 기억을 남기고 갈수 있어서 아주 좋은 선택을 했다고 생각한다. 더 보기

우선 아주 친절한 주인장이 맘에 들었다. 덕분에 나의 중국친구들이 아주 맘에 들어했다. 물론 방은 작고 티비도 없어 조금 불편함은 있었지만 단기간 머무는 외국인이 저렴한 가격에 이색 체험을 하기에는 아주 좋았던 것 같다. 방이 총 3개정도 있는 것 같은데 모두 다 예약 할 경우는 미리 아침밤을 한식으로 부탁할 수도 있다고 한다. 우리는 방3개를 예약했음에도 간단한 서양식으로 해서 조금은 아쉬움이 남았다.그래도 정말 친구들이 주인장의 친절함에 아주 만족스러워해서 나 또한 아주 만족. 더 보기

The inn is a traditional Korean hanok house and is located just steps away from the Samcheongdong hanok area with art galleries, restaurants, and shops. The room itself was cozy and clean with a futon spread out over a heated floor, but shared bathrooms It's a real cultural experience. I would stay again. 더 보기

It is a special expereience to stay in a traditional Korean House. Although it took 15mins for walking from the subway station, Gain guesthouse is not difficult to find. Gain guesthouse is smaller than I imagined. Eventhough I staied in a family room for 2 people, It was just enough. There is no garden I expert but I appreciate Gain for her very clean and simple environment and I enjoy to stay here, however the price a bit high. 더 보기

Although the Guesthouse is slightly further up the hill, it is very easy to find. In addition, the toilet is indoor, big and very clean. Everything (towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste) were provided for us. The owners checked what time we would like to have breakfast and promptly prepped our breakfast in the kitchen. I am very glad that I choose Gain Hanok Guesthouse for my stay in Seoul. My Korean friend warned me before I go that those traditional style house could be very cold during the night because the door are made of wax paper, just like the old Asian movie and you need to go outside the court for bathroom but this is not the case for Gain. Their bathroom are actually inside the house so you don't need to go outside, and even though the door are made by wax paper, it is not that cold at all as the floor is heated, I actually feel hot during the night. Seoul temperature was about 25F during the day when I was there. Breakfast is American style, including cereal, milk, cream soup and toast. The homemade strawberry jam is the best. This hostel is hosted by a couple who also living in the house, they are super nice. They know basic English so communication is not a problem. The hostess showed me places to visit around the area. She also helped me to look for bus schedule when I told her when I leave. Actually I just want to tell her that I have a early flight (8:30am) in the morning and want to know how to check out, but she and her husband are so eager to help and the husband ended up drove me to the Limousine Bus station at 5:20am. Gain is located inside Bukchon Village, one of the must see area. It is about 20 mins nice walk to Jong-no 3 ga or 15 mins to Anguk station. You can take Limousine Bus 6011 or 6002 from ICN and walk up to the hostel. One thing to aware is that the address listed in agoda (1-38, Gahoe-dong) actually can’t be found around the area. The hostel is between Bukchon-ro and Bukchon-ro 11 gil. Just search by hostel name on google and you should see a lit sign "Gain" when you get there. Let me sum up here: Nice traditional Korean style housing, Friendly staff, Great Breakfast, Clean Bathroom, Fast Internet, Close to Bukchon village and Jong-no district. It was a pleasant stay. Mr Min is very welcoming and immediately showed me a map of the local area. Situated between Changdeokgung and Gyeongbokgung - easily reached my bus and then a short walk. You have to tell the owner Mr Min when you are leaving at night and roughly what time you will be back, this is not a hostel experience. Whilst I was staying there are 2 family's with children and you need to be respectful to other guests. Breakfast consisted of meat soup, Korean coffee and bread. You can have cereal as well. I would highly recommend this place as then owner went out his way to help - he dropped me on the last day at Gyeongbokgung subway as so I didn't have to change lines to get to Gimpo. 더 보기

The room is clean and comfortable. The owner and family are very friendly and warm people. Excellent experience for a Korean homestay. The location is superb, in the very cultural and colorful area. However, there is no WiFi provided, and it could be a little noisy in the day, as the area is filled with tourists. Only the owner speaks English, not the rest of the family. 더 보기

The owners are very nice and helpful, e.g.still offer us the breakfast (i.e. toast, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee) even though we wake up at 11am. The room is comfortable and washroom, bathroom are very clean. For the location, this Hanok is 15mins walk from Anguk station. There's a shuttle bus from Auguk station to this Hanok, the bus station is just next to the Hanok. This is extremely helpful when you are off to the airport with heavy luggages. 더 보기
