살면서 문고리가 고장난 방을 개인 여행자에게 주는 경우는 처음 봤습니다. 굿스테이 지정 업소라고 돼 있길래 기대했더니. 어메너티는 있을대로 있지만 욕실까지 합쳐서 제 방만한 사이즈더군요. 1 박 4 만원이라면 근처 호스텔이 낫고. 조식은 양은 적었지만 다양해서 만족했습니다. 일본인 여행객을 위한 업소란 느낌이 강했네요. 더 보기

It's our second time booking with Saewha Hostel. We went back because we were satisfied with our first visit. The place is accessible to transport system. There's a limousine bus stop nearby, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, just fronting the Changdeokgong. Insadong which is famous for shopping and sightseeing is just 10-15 mins. walk and very near to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Jogyesa temple is also nearby. 더 보기

Well, I had actually cancel my trip, but during the communication over the phone, they show to me that they are okay with English, so I guess communication should be fine, on the other hand, they are quite polite too. I will definitely visit this hostel again when I travel to Seoul! 더 보기

the hotel is inexpensive. it is located in jongno, which is very convenient for sight-seeing & shopping. near insadong fro shopping, near palaces, shrine, and famous buddhist temple (jogesa) and 2 small beautiful buddhist temples nearby. the room is rather small but comes with private bath and floor heater. owner and staff was friendly. 더 보기

This location is very strategic, in Jongro-gu. It is near from The Cheongdokgung and Cheonggyonggung palace, Bukcheon Hanok (traditional settlement), Insadong street which sold a lot of souvenirs. We can just walk to go around all of the locations. 더 보기

I have stayed here multiple times. It is in an excellent location, ideal for exploring Seoul. The room is ideal for a short stay. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel, particularly for those travelling on a budget! 더 보기

Our stay was very good, for a hostel it's worth the money, they gave us a free upgrade, it was clean, beds weren't so comfortable , but everything else was good. Staff was very nice, free wifi and typical hostel breakfast. 더 보기

Very convenient location but a bit hard to find for first visit.
Staff and owner is really kind and with nice hospitality. For most traveller visit Korea faces language ploblem to eat. The staff will introduce some eating place at reasonable prices and write in Korean writting what we would like to eat. I have tried 3 place they recommend and all are good. They provides simple breakfast Japanese/Chinese style and English style. Their accomodation rate is not high and surprise for me how they could serve free breakfast. The location is good. Near Changdeokgung Palace and subway line 3. Also a walking distance from Insadong. The room was clean with private bathroom. The staff there were very friendly - like all korean are. The only con is the wall is too think to avoid outside noise. 더 보기

although it is a bit far from subway station, about 10 mins walk from jongro-3ga station, 5 mins from exit 7, it is a hostel with warmth. my friend and i were welcomed by a japanese staff who could speak good english (considering she is a japanese). she introduces the facilities in the hostel clearly and helped my friend to take her heavy luggage to 3/f. (we were a bit late, so i guess all other rooms were full already.)
apparently this hostel accomodates japanese-- there's a place for putting shoes inside the room, hotel amenities provided including toothbrush with toothpaste, shaver and even washing sponge and face wash for girls! all other places are also clean. unlike other reviewers' comment, i think the facilities are quite new. i think the hostel is newly renovated.
there's free breakfast from 5-8am, way too early for me, so i didnt try to compete with the early birds. but we made use of the free luggage storage service. sometimes there's no one in the front desk and you have to ring the bell to call another male staff out. he can speak good english, but it seems to me that he's not as friendly as the japanese girl, maybe he's sleepy? i don't know. overall speaking, this is a great hostel with clean facilities. i found this stay worth the money i paid. i would consider coming back.
* this hostel is perfect for those who have to stay in seoul for a long time. great value for money.
it's about 5 mins walk to changdeokgung palace and about 10 mins to gyeongbokgung palace. pay attention that changdeokgung is only open for public visit on thurs.

melissa the lady at the reception is so kind andvery helpful always giving the best and cheapest way to shop and tour the best places. The hotel offers a lot of freebies like international calls, good wifi connection, pc internet, laundry, all day coffee and tea, breakfast, etc... Rooms come with free lotion, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, moisturizers, hair dryer, ref, and a lot lot more.
The best thing about the location is being near to all good restaurants withgood price and a street with barbeques and beer at night. 더 보기

The Saewha Hostel is a bit hard to find, but it is not far from Jongno3 subway station. The owner gives a fantastic briefing about the service offered in the hostel, so laundry, internet and several other things are for free. Room was small, but comfortable, slept very well on futon. Breakfast is self-service with toast, jam and coffee. Since many guests are from Japan, the Saewha is really a quite place to stay. 더 보기

Had several nice stays at this hostel. The owner goes out of his way to serve the needs of his guests. The rooms are small but comfortable, and if you are looking for a reasonable stay at a very reasonable price, this is as good a place as any. Sometimes hard to find, but the owner actually came to a nearby restaurant and took me to the hostel! I always try to stay here now when I come to Seoul, but it is often booked. 더 보기

####even though it quite difficult to find at the beginning,i like this hostel. i stayed in futon style room for 2 nights; the room is similar to the pictures show above. heung-kyu (the owner) was kind. he helped me carry my big luggage to the 2nd floor :) and when i checked out other staff was doing the same thing, they are very helpful.
####when i checked in, my lim explained everything clearly to the guest, he provided me 2 bottles of drinking water and i could choose between 2 options; free daily cleaning service or free changing of bath & hand towels but in the end i though he provided me both :)
#####toiletries & room amenities are plenty provided you don’t need to bring anything! really! they provided 1 bath towel, 2 hand towels, hair dryer, tv, telephone, face lotion, face toner , face cream, insect repellent spray, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton buds, shower cap ,razor blade etc.
####direction: tteok museum or institute of traditional korean food is in front of this hostel entry! so you must find tteok museum first.
if you come from anguk station , it’s not close , it takes approximately 10-15 mins to walk, you just walk straight along the main road heading to changdeokgung palace. then when you reach the palace just cross the zebra crossing in front of the palace to the other side of the road, you will see gas station, and joy mart is on the corner. then just walk to the road ( the palace is heading towards!!!) or just follow the jongno3(sam)ga signpost , walk on the right side footpath , walk toward tteok museum. when you reach the museum, there will be a small road beside the museum. (museum will be on your left) then just walk into that road, you’ll see a restaurant on your left, just walk pass a bit , not far you will see “samil-daero 32 ga-gil signpost” !!!! follow that signpost; turn left, saehwa hostel will be on your left side!!! good luck 더 보기

hostel is very near to jogno-3-ga station (may be about 100m) but not easy to find. from exit 7,look for a small signage with tteok museum direction, cross the street and walk towards that direction(basically your rhs before crossing the street). walk till you see family mart (on your lhs), there is an alley beside it. walk further down to the next alley (right before tteok museum), turn left into this alley (you will be facing another hostel), turn right then turn left again, saewha hostel is on your lhs. the owner is very kind and explained all facilities upon checking in. international calls are free (to certain countries)& there are computers with free internet for guests at reception area. free breakfast(bread & jam). room is clean & toilet comes with tooth brush, shower cap, hair dryer etc. only thing is the bath tub may be a bit old. overall, my family is very satisfied with the hostel. 더 보기

we have repeatedly come back here for it's location. the hotel is small but make us feel comfortable . we could do laundry for free. bread , tea, coffee are available in the morning.
free internet with pc and skype call. owner with only one staff were friendly. the rooms were cleaned . rooms were somewhat renovated with new wall paper. the best way to come is by airport bus to ankuk station or train to jongno-3-ga exit 6. this exit has no elevator, no escalator and many steps to surface.
