I book 2 rooms technically 3 rooms for my friends and I. The place was a hike hence the hill name of the house. Owner is very nice, our flight got delayed twicr and he just told me he will leave the keys on the door. One suggestion as a traveller i appreciate having big towels instead of many small ones. Likewise, for the breakfast bread juice and jam n butter is good and coffee but sometimes ots not enough sonce other guests tend to get stuffs placed in the kitchen. 더 보기

Location is great, however the hostel is up a hill and can be quite tiring to return after a day out travelling. The owner is super friendly and helpful, he also provided a counter telephone that can be used to reach him if need be. The room is amazing! 더 보기

The room is bigger than expected. The guesthouse is really uphill. Room is not soundproof. There were times our neighbor knocked our room because we're noisy when we were just laughing. Hehe. But all in all, it's okay. Thank you! 더 보기

This place is super comfortable for us and feel like we were at our own home. The staff also very very nice and help us when we had difficulties to using the washing machine. The place also strategic. Near to myeongdong street and one halal restaurant (Kampungku) and can walk to Namsan Cable car that only took 5 minutes from the guesthouse. This is my 2nd time staying at Guesthouse the Hill. Love the location which is near to Myeongdong, subway, airport bus & Namsan. Guesthouse is simple & clean & away from the main crowd so you have a bit of peace from the noise. The host Kijae is helpful & great to chat with. My favourite stay in Seoul definitely! 더 보기

Actually i have a hard time to found this place, because it was uphill and i have to walked to that place on foot. But when i arrived, the owner is very nice and helpfull, the facility (tv, inside bathroom, internet, bad, and the heater) all are in a good conditions. This pleace is very near to Myeongdong Street, namsan tower, and myeongdong station. i'll be back again to this place when i'm coming back again to Korea. 더 보기

The guesthouse is located at a walking distance to Myeongdong area, the owner was very nice and they have a female helper who speak chinese, we got a room at the second floor but the owner has helped us to carry the luggage to our room, so no worries for the lady traveler because the owner is always open to help. Room was consider not to small, perfect on cleanliness and brightness. Would definitely come back again! 더 보기

Pros - Walking distance from Myeongdong subway, Myeongdong street food and beauty stores. Excellent English speaking owner who is very accommodating and helpful in providing tips for around the city. Very clean rooms and the free breakfast was enough to start your busy day touring the city. I cannot say much if there are cons to note but I guess a watchout is, the place is like halfway on top of a steep hill. It was a workout getting to it, but my friend and I are young and prett fit so we did not mind the extra exercise everyday. 더 보기

Nice place to stay in Myeongdong. The room where we stayed are clean and well maintained. Guest House the Hill has an excellent location, few minutes of walking then you will be in Myeongdong subway station, Myeongdong market and Namsan cable car. There are also numbers of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. 더 보기

Been here for the second time in 5 years. Service standard still very good. Location is good though you need to walk 10mins to the subway which is fine by me. Provide option for airport transport also which is very convenient esp when you have a flight to catch before all other mode of transport is available and it’s cheaper than normal taxi I think. We booked 4 double rooms for 4 nights. The rooms is so nice, spacious and very comfortable. They also have kitchen downstairs where we can watch tv and enjoy coffee together with the family anytime. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoy our stay at this guesthouse :) 더 보기

It wasn't outstanding. The guesthouse is difficult to find and it's not very ideal if you have several luggages with you. My reservation includes free breakfast but I have not taken advantage of it in my entire stay. It wasn't even offered to me to begin with. The guesthouse owner did not orient me with the house rules. He just checked my passport and that was it. The sink in my bathroom was clogged and there was no housekeeping. There are way too many places you can stay around Myeongdong but I won't recommend this place, sorry. 더 보기

We stayed here for 5 days. The Hostel itself was fine, but it lacked cleanliness. There were strangers hairs in our beds when we arrived and in general the room wasn´t equipped very well. Still, we loved Seoul and the Host was nice. 더 보기

The slope up the guest house is daunting. It's fine if you're not there for shopping. But if you are, seriously the stairs and slopes are pretty much unbearable. It's about 10 mins walk upslope from myeongdong exit 3 to the guest house. There are a lot of eateries along the way up so I guess in a way you can recharge and continue. It's convenient. It's a pretty much self sufficient guesthouse but without any lift. It has v narrow and steep stairs, which makes the moving of your luggage v inconvenient. Good thing is the owner is v hospitable, he actually helped to carry, which is really commendable. But he might not be there during check out, so don't expect that to happen when you shift. 더 보기
