친정부모님과 아이들과 함께한 여행이라 한옥을 예약했습니다 생각보다 크지 않지만 아담하고 따뜻한 방에서 옛정취를 느끼며 잘 잤습니다. 화장실이 룸마다 있어 편했지만 작고 악취는 좀 있었습니다. 주인아주머님이 정말 친철 하시고 조식으로 떡국 정말 맛있었습니다. 초등학생 추가금도 안 받으시고 침구도 주셨습니다. 더 보기

초등3학년 고등1학년 올라가는 사랑스런 두딸과 어여쁜 울마님 그리고 저 이렇게 5박6일간의 서울 나들이 처음 이틀간 숙소가 해밀한옥이었어요~^^ 창덕궁 바로옆이어서 인사동, 대학로, 시립미술관 등과 접근성이 아주 용이했고요.. 차가운 겨울날씨를 잊을만큼이나 친절하고 정성스러운 사장님 내외분의 응대에 가족을 대표해서 다시한번 감사드립니다!! 혹시 서울 가족 여행을 계획하시는 분들께는 강추~~~^^ 더 보기

적지 않은 금액의 숙박비를 지불하였는데 저렴한 여관에서 잠을 자고 온 느낌입니다. 윗풍이 있긴 했지만 방바닥이 따뜻했던 것 외에는 괜찮은 점이 하나도 없었습니다. 천장에는 곰팡이가 있고 전등 하나는 고장나서 깜빡깜빡거리고, 장롱에서 이불과 베개를 꺼내는 순간 이건 아니다 싶더군요. 언제 사용하고 넣어놓은건지 눅눅하고 냄새나는 침구는 찝찝함 그 자체였습니다. 그래도 바닥이 따뜻하니 참아보자고 하였는데, 커피포트가 없어서 컵라면 하나를 먹기도 힘들었습니다. 거실같은 공동공간이 있었는데 지저분해서 손을 대기도 힘들고, 좁디 좁은 화장실은 볼일 보는것과 씻는것이 쉽지 않았습니다. 세면대 물도 안 내려가고 대략 난감이더군요. 업친데 덮친격으로 온수조차 잘 나오지 않아 결국 얼굴만 대충 씻고 모두 잠을 잘수밖에 없었습니다;; 찝찝한 이불을 덮고 잠을 자는 둥 마는 둥 하며 아침을 맞이하고 불을 켰는데 더 심각한 일이 생겼습니다. 어디서 나왔는지 개미들이 줄지어 다니고 있었습니다. 심지어 아이가 자고 있는 이불 위에도 개미가 있고, 제가 잡은 개미만 열다섯마리정도였고, 놓친 개미들도 많았습니다. 이런 곳에서 잠을 잤다는 것이 가족들에게도 미안하고 싫은소리도 많이 들었습니다. 관리인으로 보이는 할머니는 주인같지 않고, 동네에 사시는 할머니처럼 보였고, 청결문제는 0점이었던 것 같아 조식제공을 위해 예약한 이곳에서 조식은 먹지 못하고 아침 일찍 퇴실 후 식당에서 사 먹었습니다. 어떻게 이런 시설로 숙박업을 할 수 있는지 정말 우리나라 사람으로서 망신스러운 일인 듯 하였습니다. 한옥체험스테이라고 지정되어 있는 것 같았는데 다른 나라 관광객이 이런 곳을 온다면 우리나라 이미지가 좋을리가 있겠습니까? 피부가 예민한 저희 딸은 개미에게 물린건지 어떻게 된건지 배 부위에 불긋불긋하게 피부가 부풀어 올라 집에 와서 약 바르고, 사진도 찍어놓았네요. 도대체 이런건 어디다가 얘기해야 제가 기분이 풀릴까요?... 주말 여행을 숙박으로 인해 망친 느낌입니다;; 더 보기

Lucy is a very good host, taking all your needs and requests seriously. The rooms are quite comfortable. The location and price are quite good for a Hanok. You'll have to walk 8 minutes to Anguk metro station, but for staying in a Hanok, that's something you'll have to put up with. All the important attractions are nearby, including Changdeokgung, Gyeongbukgung, Bukchon Hanok Village and Insadong. The downsides - flies in the courtyard and the toilet has an unpleasant smell (but it doesn't affect the room). I would recommend staying here. 더 보기

Love our stay at Haemil Hanok! True, location-wise, it is not the easiest to locate but it's just next door to the grand Cheongdeokgong palace so the location is great! All the rooms in the cosy hanok are filled with beautiful handicrafts and paintings. And did I mention the awesome breakfasts? The lovely host Shinsil will prepare a piping hot authentic Korean breakfast each morning - we had a comforting porridge one day and delicious bibimbap (mixed veggie rice) the next day. A great culture experience staying at Haemil Hanok Guesthouse. Traditional Korean breakfast that was made by the host, Lucy, is very good. Location wise, it's very near to tourist attraction, Changdeokgung and Bukchon Hanok Village, a walking distance in fact. One good thing about Haemil is that the room comes with private bathroom, as I know that many traditional Korean houses have shared bathroom. 더 보기

It was a memorable stay (although we only stayed for 1 night). Our host really made us feel at home. Unlike most of the hanoks which only have shared bathrooms, our family room in Haemil Hanok has an attached bathroom. It is very well located, which makes our sight-seeing and shopping very convenient. 더 보기

The landlords are nice, helpful and able to communication in English. We are moved by Mrs Kim's dessert at night time! The location is a bit to find at the first time but it is very convenient for sightseeing afterwards. 더 보기

Very friendly hosts. Eventhough far from the Buchon hanok area but its just within 10-15minutes walk and also to Insadong area. Hosts were very warm and friendly, even made snacks for us after a tiring shopping spree. 더 보기

it's our first time in South Korea and our first time as well to experienced the Korean traditional house. it's a lovely accommodation with superb breakfast. the hosts are very accommodating and they speak good English as well which made our stay in their place very enjoyable. they are very helpful as well in teaching us the vicinity map. we do hope to stay again in their place on our next visit in Seoul. Good things: the owner of the guesthouse (ajumma) is very nice and accommodating even though she doesn't speak English. Location is really hard to find at first but it is ok when you get around. It is 7min. walk to the bus stop and the palace. Bad things: the sheets are dirty. the septic tank is reeking from the bathroom into the whole room. The room is not what we expect from the pictures. Loved the homecooked breakfasts we received both days. Floors were heated and there was an infrared heater so we were actually very warm despite the cold nights. There was no hot water in the bathroom and the water from the sink drained onto the floor. WiFi was quite fast. Only ten minute walk to two different metro stations, and easy to walk to two palaces. Nice place to stay if you just want some peace and silence for a couple days, and you don't mind sleeping on the floor/roughing it a little. 더 보기

Staying in a hanok is such a wonderful experience. Although the location is tucked in small alley, but still accessible by walking 10 minutes from Anguk Station. The room and the bathroom are quite small, but very clean. We can try to wear hanbok and also eat korean traditional breakfast which was delicious. We stayed here one night and in the next morning we planed to go to Nami island which we need to go out early in the morning. So I sent message to ask whether I can have breakfast arround 6.30, which normally would start at 8.00. Penny, the host, is very kind to provide us breakfast at the time we requested. really appreciate that. Here is a good location considered if you wouldn't want to stay in busy tourist area. it's quiet, old town section of the city, and very close to Changdeokgung palace (which we think much more interesting than Gyeongbokgung), a short walk to Bukchon, and in walking distance to Chonggyeochon steam. I hope to have more time staying at Haemil Hanok to experience more on the Korean living style since we went out all day and come back at night. 더 보기

The young couple that run this Hanok are super friendly and speak great English! It is within walking distance to one of the palaces, subway, airport bus station and good shopping in Insadong. It might be a little hard to find according to the street address. Just call for directions. It is across the street from the palace and go down the street between the Hanok Village looking theater and the car repair shop. The you will see a sign for the guest house. 더 보기

As everone has writtem, her conversation ,cuisine ,hospitality are great. She washed and keep the socks which my daughter has been forgotten. Of course towel with cute embroidery, fabric of mattress also I like. Seoul memories is more deeply in her kindness. 더 보기

Stayed for one night in the family room with my family of four. Space was a little tight, but it was a good experience sleeping on heated floor with mattresses and comfortable duvets. We appreciate the private bathroom although it is very small. The bibimbap breakfast prepared by Lucy, the young and pretty host, was delicious. We had fun dressing up in the hanboks loaned to us by Lucy, and taking pictures in the room and courtyard. :) 더 보기

We've ordered a three person's bedroom, but the space of the room is not spacious as mentioned in Agoda ( if i don't remember wrong, it is said 90 sq meters which is definitely a wrong info.; in fact the 3 single bedroom is just like 15 sq. meters). and I paid 170SGD per night for the room ( much expensive than hotels) and i don't think it is worthy. And the place is not closed to any train station, a bit troublesome to find the way. No restaurants nearby except only a small convenient store. Though the room is small for 3 persons and we can hear the voices from other rooms easily, it is clean and the landlord provides good service. 더 보기
