I loved staying at this hotel because it's very cozy. Rooms aren't too big, but enough for 2. Everything is provided (including wifi, 2 desktop pcs, and a flat screen tv). Towels and toiletries are also provided. The hotel is near Sinchon station, and Hyundai mall (5-7 min walk). There are a lot of shops around the area, including a wonderful cat cafe-- a coffee place with live cats. 더 보기

I am really pleased with this hotel. It feels very clean and comfortable. The Superior Double is much bigger than the normal room and has a bigger bathtub as well. I discovered this time that there is a coffee machine in the lobby, so you can make yourself an Americano. 더 보기

Fantastic hotel, walking distance from tons of yummy restaurants in the Sinchon area (dalkalbi, etc.) ~5 min walk from the sinchon metro station and 2 min walk from the airport limosine stop.
staff was very helpful, and a couple of them speak broken but intelligible English as well. amenities were excellent, huge TV, themed rooms with a lot of privacy, unlimited snacks, a fridge, 2 computers, free flow of bottled water and some other drinks, hair wax etc. The rooms were furnished really well and the floor was heated as well.

I live in Korea, but I have trouble using Korean websites to book hotels, so I use agoda sometimes. That said, I have stayed in a lot of love motels over the years to save money while travelling and although this may officially be a "love motel," it doesn't have the creepy atmosphere of some other places. It didn't stink of cigarettes, there was no awkward lighting, it was clean and had a comfy atmosphere, and it wasn't noisy at night even though I stayed there over the weekend in Shinchon.
There were two computers in my room, a big flatscreen tv, comfortable bed with two fluffy pillows, adorable decor such as a pink old fashioned phone (if you are a girl you may like the atmosphere), there was a wii, but I couldn't find controllers etc, and there is a jacuzzi style tub for one with all the shampoo, conditioner, soap and even hair gel and a brush provided. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and book on agoda because it was sold out on Saturday night otherwise.
The only downside: The room was a little small, and there is only a shower curtain separating the bathroom area, so if you are staying with friends or people you are not so close with, it could be awkward. Especially because I had to keep the door ajar in the toilet cubby since my legs were too long to close the door. For me, it was OK, but in any case, the bathroom was cramped. 더 보기

my girlfriend and i stayed at the mac hotel for 2 nights. it was a wonderful stay with no real complaints. they provided lots of free water and even held our luggage sunday evening while we explored seoul. many people have noted the toilet room was small, and it is, but honestly...who needs a huge bathroom anyway?

my stay in this hotel was nothing but pleasant. room service was daily, and the room was always clean and tidy. the bed was surprisingly comfortable and there was a large plasma screen in the room. i couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. 더 보기

Hotel is a very short walk from Sinchon station which is just 1 stop from Hongdae (Hongik University, line 2). Sinchon is known for lots of delicious food and a youthful vibe since its the centre of 4 large universities. Hongdae is where you go for nightlife. The hotel has everything - modern computers, large lcd, fridge with daily free beverages, skincare and hair care products, jacuzzi, all free of charge. Downside is room is small and slightly dark - if you are fine with that then it should not be a problem 더 보기

Great location in Sinchon near a lot of restaurants and bars. Set on a quiet back street within 5 min walk from the subway. This is considered a love hotel, which might concern some western travelers, but other than the complimentary condoms and round-the-clock room cleaning the hotel seemed no different than any other. The room was small and it was hard to move around without climbing over the bed. Clean, with double doors to block out hallway noise. The bathroom had a tub without a shower curtain (typical for Korea) and separate closet for the toilet (although the space was so tight it was impossible to close the door while you were inside). Two desktop PCs and wifi. Flat-screen TV. The bed was super hard but that is to be expected in Asia. 더 보기

First of all, it's located about 2-3 minutes walk from Sinchon Station, exit 3. This area is popular among younger people. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Lots of clubs located one subway stop away at Hongik Univ. station. There's also an airport bus stop close to the hotel.
There's also free drinks in the hotel, free snacks... though the snacks are really just little cookies and crackers. You'll also find condoms in your room, as this is really a love motel, and in an area with many love motels. The rooms were clean, though, from what I could see.
The room also came with two PCs - one of which is hooked up to the TV, which makes it great for viewing movies from the computer. The internet speed was fairly consistently fast. The staff was nice, overall - though I didn't speak much to them.
Unfortunately, not a lot of closet space, as most people who stay here are here for short-term lovin'... and I stayed in one of their larger rooms. I kept most of my clothes laid out on the sofa.
There's also a shop about a block away that will handle your dry-cleaning and laundry, though I'm sure I paid the tourist rate (but not bad overall).
One issue is that it might be hard to find the hotel at first. It's located in a back alley, next to an "On the Border" restaurant, so if you see it from the main road, go in the back alley, and you should be able to see MAC.
Oh, and I was not a fan of the hard bed, but I got used to it. 더 보기

Many shopping around this hotel. It is near to Sinchon subway station. Look for exit 4 and if you have heavy luggage search for lift/elevator to bring you up to street level. Exit 4 is near this hotel. About 5 mins to reach the hotel. Near substation allow you to move around using the train. Artsbox and Daiso are around here. There is also a nice hello kitty cafe. Hotel is a 5 mins walk from line 2 Sinchon station exit 4. There are a lot of easteries nearby. Lot's of eateries offering all kinds of Korean food (home cooked, bbq, fusion) Italian (pizza, spaghetti) cafes and fast food (MacDonald's snd Burger King) . Since the hotel is close by the Yonsei university and Ewhwa university, prices are very affordable. A lunch/dinner in korean restaurant cost about 21000 won for my family. Same meal in Myeongdong would cost 35000won. Many convenient stores around. There is a Standard Charter bank 2 mins from hotel. Very convenient. There is a Hyundai mall diagonally opp for shopping and food. There's a supermarket at this same subway station exit 8/9. Great for getting fruits and cookies and snacks.

Staff can speak very little English but are very nice and helpful. Rooms small but comfortable enough for one person/2 people. Personal computers with complimentary internet are standard in Korean motels/hotels. Overall it's a nice little motel. I expected this to be like a love hotel but it was much cleaner and nicer. It was quiet and peaceful even though it's close to all the awesome shopping and nightlife around the universities. Also very close to the subway station. The bed was comfortable and the big bathtub was nice. The staff tried their best to speak English. 더 보기

The room was beautiful! I actually extended my stay because the environment was so restful. The room was clean and quiet -- I slept amazingly well! The second night I stayed in a different room (standard room), but the room a tiny bit smaller but equally as nice.
The amenities were great! TV including two movie channels, computers in the room plus WiFi access, Jacuzzi tub, beautiful showers, snacks, coffee, lotions and shampoo etc.
The location is really easy to find and located near some great Western food options (On the Boarder, Subway, Starbucks) and two movie theaters for Expats looking for a getaway in Seoul.
Several reviews mentioned that the staff don't speak very much English -- This was not my experience at all. The staff were more than able to communicate with me and went above and beyond to ensure my enjoyable stay. A rain storm came up as I was leaving and I was without an umbrella. One of the hotel staff offered me his umbrella without a second thought. They were kind and considerate in all things.
I highly recommend the Mac Hotel. I can't wait for my next stay. 더 보기

I was quite skeptical when the web-site rated The Mac Hotel as a 1*-star standard yet the commentary by guests rated it as a 9.
Regardless we took our chances since our commute from Ansan into Seoul was a good 1.5hr+ train ride (each way). It couldn't get much worse than that. I am glad we switched!
Mac Hotel is hidden in a back alley off a busy street. Our cab driver got us to the area but we drove in circles for 20 minutes to actually locate it. The hotel staff speak minimal English but we were able to get by for the 8 days.
The hotel is well maintained with a modern touch to it and the room we had reminded me of a bachelor pad. Queen size bed was a tad hard but that seems to the norm here in Korea. The linens for the bathroom are clean. Amenities include: shampoo/conditioner, hair products, hairdryer and body gel for the guests. I would advise you pack an extra towel as I notice bath towels are quite small in Korea.
The room comes with a flat screen tv with local channels, a mini fridge, phone and we had a side window that we can access for fresh air. There is a channel that even plays Hollywood movies.
There is no main lobby but there is a fridge by the reception desk that stocks complimentary water, chilled coffee and plum juice. The cans are very small compared to Canada.
If you are expected to be waited on, this is not the hotel for you nor is it meant for business travellers.
The hotel is near a university so you will see more of a younger crowd in their 20s to 30's out and about. It's very safe to walk around in the evening. The closest subway station is Sinchon (green-line) and we found it be very convenient to transfer to other subway-lines.
Overall, my husband and I had a wonderful stay at this place. The price was reasonable and the location was a big plus. I would rate this as a 3.5* to 4* for an average couple who don't have unrealistic expectation. I would stay here again if we ever came back to Seoul.

Less a "love motel" (which, to my mind, suggests vague seediness, nasty shower slippers, and stale cigarette odor) than a bright and cheery boutique hotel. All the rooms are individually curated to evoke different moods but all--as far as I could see--are immaculately kept up, comfortable, and lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's a hop, skip, and a jump to Hyundai Department Store, where you can stock up on goodies for the portable fridge, and a few steps from a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. After strenuous travels in far less hospitable environs, I was happy with the comforts of Mac Hotel. 더 보기
