Pros: Namsan Guesthouse is really near the Myeongdong Station and the shopping district. You just need to cross the street and you'll find everything you need. It's also a walking distance to N Seoul Tower (if you're up to some adventure :P). There are also cats in the guesthouse which added more fun whenever you get home from a tiring day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons: The bath towel is small, and the restroom has some smell of drainage. It was also hard to get the hot water. Takes a lot of time. Overall, we had a fun stay in this guesthouse and would still recommend it to everyone. :) 더 보기

We got a VIP in an alley a bit further down the main building, but it is also closer to the main road, 1 goes towards the back of the Mcdonalds, exit 4 meoyongdong, 1 exit goes back to the pacific hotel side, and 1 more goes over to the Namdaemun area. Bathroom was small, but adequate for 4+1 of us, on 2 queen size bed. We have a washing machine and a balcony to hand dry the clothes. Pretty lovely to stay like a korean here. TV has lotsa channel, which all does only broadcast Korean shows, well you get use to it. Cleaner comes in daily, azhuma cleans at about noon, usually after check out time of 12 pm. She will usually take out the trash and refill your coffee and cup noodles. Bed liners are not made or change during your stay, do it yourself. Towel can be change if your like, just go downstairs at the common area, put it in the basket and take the new towel. Towel is small but not face towel small, a bit larger, enough for wiping dry, just not wrapping. Drinking water machine is available on the entrance, hot and cold to your own choice, usually I boil my own, but I brought a thermos just to store water. For the VIP room, we eat in our rooms, and all the peanut butter and jams, toaster is in our room. If you need extra, just go over the main Namsan2 building for breakfast, they got eggs over there, but I prefer to eat the local diet, so the bread and cup noodles just for my snacks. It pretty easy to get food here, too many choices ... our food expenses is way more than my accommodation cost. That's how cheap it is ~ Ahh yes, there's a friendly korean bbq next door ~ bit cheaper then main street but more friendlier as most customers are locals. 더 보기

This is our second time at this place. The location is very good around Myeondong area and Namsan tower. The Guesthouse help arrange for the airport Van pickup. Staff are very helpful. Just a comment of the breakfast that it's a little late at 7.00 더 보기

D room is not too big, just nice for traveller with backpacking style or perhaps luggage with maximum of medium size, or below. Dont expect too much if u r fussy traveller. Its a bit hilly so it is suitable if u r fit enough to walk to d guesthouse with full of shopping bag or luggages. But, the location wise is so strategic. It is walkin distance to d Myeondong Subway. Also, there's a lot of shop around d area. They also provide a luggage scale so u always can check the weight of ur bag before u off back to your country, esp when u travel with low budget airlines like Air Asia. And the kost important of all, if u r a Muslim traveller, with toddler kids, then this hotel is not really suitable for u. It is because, despite of d bug luggage u have to bring, or perhaps a stroller, the d space of d room is not really comfy for u to pray inside d room. But, overall, it is highly recommended for backpackers n not for fussy-luxurious-style traveller wic on earth wil travel with the whole wardrobe lol!!! 더 보기

Highly recommended! friendly staff, excellent location. Our twin room even though a bit small were clean and comfortable. Hairdryer and basic toiletries (except toothbrush) provided. Towel is small size. Lucky to have stayed in the 1st floor. It has a basic (clean as you go) kitchen. Ramen and bread available all day round. Breakfast of bread, butter, jam and peanut butter is for free. Dispenser with hot and cold water. Laundry can be done for free 7pm til 6am. Although we booked Namsan GH3, we we stayed at NSGH 2 which was nearer to the train station. Apparently, NSGH 3 is already combined with NSGH 2. Short walk to Myeongdong and N Tower. 더 보기

My second time to stay with the Namsan Guesthouses (the first one was in the Namsan 2) and it was as satisfying as I remember. What I liked best about it was the location. Just a few minutes walk from the nearest subway station, across the street from the Myeongdong Shopping District. Lots of marts and dining places close by... it's got everything you'd need for the conveniences of your trip to Seoul! 더 보기

This is actually our 3rd time. The reason why we kept on coming back is because of its location. It is just a few minute walk from myeongdong shopping district and our favorite two two chicken and isaac is just at the opposite road. We were disappointed because it moved into a new location. The old NG3 is now a business center. When we checked in we were told that our room is at NG2 which is just beside the new NG3. When we arrived at NG2 we only registered at the reception and transferred to the other side where our room was situated. This transferring from one place to another is somewhat tiring. The only issue we had was the clogged toilet bowl and the worn out bathroom slippers. Other than that, our stay was ok. We suggest they update the name and add moved to a new location because most of their guests are actually returners. 더 보기

It's very dirty that their blanket don't change when guest check out. I request to change but instead the give me another room and it's also the same thing Toilet sink and wall full with long hair Blanket all stick with hairs. This is my second time stay in here, after this incident I will never book namsam anymore. It's terrible unhygienic. 더 보기

Its across myeongdong shopping districs, which mean you can easily shopping and find street food... if you use daily local tour some will pick you up at myeongdong station, which just 2 min walk... definitely will be back for next trp... 더 보기

Namsan guest house is very near myeongdong exit 3 a little walk from pacific hotel. It is near N Seoul Tower. If you want to be near the shopping district you can stay here. Staffs are good they are very accomodating and helpful. The receptionist is i think up to 1 am. Then there is breakfast that can be ramen, bread they also offer spreads. Free water. You can also do laundry, ironing of clothes. You can also leave ur luggage after check out and they will keep it. One down thing is that they offer a small towel which is ideal only for face. 더 보기

The location was nice. The room was comfortable ideal for persons who want a place thats near the shopping district which is across the street from pacific hotel.the staffs was good. Facilities were nice. You can also rent a wifi in the guesthouse for 10,000 won ist day and 5,000 won for the additional nights. Firstly, signboard was not labelled as Namsan Guesthouse 3, it was labelled as SP House. So, for those intending to stay here pls look out for 'SP House' signboard, until they change it. I had to climb the hill with my heavy luggage and double checking my map going through this area twice. Luckily there were travelers sitting outside that it was the building I was looking for. Secondly, check in. I had to check the room myself whether it was ready. I found the cleaning aunties chitchatting while sitting down and drying something in the room. Only when I asked if the room was ready, then they finished cleaning up in 5 minutes. So, I guess if I didn't ask the aunties, they would take their own time to finish cleaning? I hope the guesthouse will be more considerate towards travelers who are really tired after long delayed flights. Thirdly, carelessness of the staff. Generally, the staff are okay though I wouldn't say I felt warmly welcomed there. I asked for a request to help me collect and pay the food when it was delivered to the guesthouse when I was not around. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare for me because apparently the staff whom I pass the money to, did not pay the food delivery. As a result, the food deliveryman accused me of purposely not paying him! I had specifically mentioned the timing of the delivery so in common sense, the staff should relay the information to the next staff on duty isn't it? When asked if the money was passed to the deliveryman, the staff showed the money and laughed it off. I'm not sure how funny this situation is when I was accused of not paying by the deliveryman. If I knew the staff couldn't handle such a simple request, I would have stayed and handle the money myself. So, bad experience here. Forthly, I asked for a clean for my room the night before. And guess what, it was not clean after I came back in the evening. On a good note, yes, the location is good and security is good due to the passcode. Basically that's 더 보기
